Exploring symbology using Census Bureau and OBLM data

These maps use three different types of US Census Bureau data in addition to Bureau of Land Mangement data to practice different symbology types. I particularly enjoyed designing the proportional symbol map and deciding to combine BLM fire origin point and water source data. This project developed my skills with proportional symbol, dot density, and pie chart symbologies as well as customized legends and finding interest data to map. Project limitations include lack of data diversity for the pie chart college education data across counties and a flawed residential areas masking layer that has no residential areas in Eastern Oregon.
